Around the same time John Fitzgerald Kennedy was rising through the ranks of the US Congress, a guy called John Francis Kennedy decided to put his name on the ballot to run for Massachusetts state treasurer. In a few years, there would be other John Kennedys trying to win public office in the state.
It's kind of funny to think about a "temporary eternal flame." Perhaps it's the presidential gravesite version of "The Neverending Story."

You will have no trouble finding President Kennedy's grave from the main gate at Arlington; there are signs everywhere, or if you can't find signs, just follow the crowd.
