If one of your new year’s resolutions is to see if you can cut down on your energy use, this might be a way to do it.
It’s a tabletop laundry dryer that can finish a cycle in just 15 minutes.
The Morus Zero dryer isn’t brand new, but it’s been getting more attention lately because of how it dries clothes.
Most dryers tumble a load of wet laundry and heats it up.
Centrifugal force sends the warm, steamy air outside through a vent.
The Morus also uses heat to turn the water in the clothes to steam, but it basically creates a vacuum to pull the water out of the fabric.
The company says it can do the same amount of work as a large conventional dryer, but will use 40 percent less energy in the process.
It also says this dryer has a UV system built in so that the clothes are sterilized as well as dry.
And because it doesn’t require a vent, apartment dwellers could use them as well as homeowners.
Do the clothes still come out nice and warm at the end and you just want to put them on right away?
Those who love listening to vinyl records also know that not all records are made of vinyl!
The YouTube channel TechMoan just featured a record made of chocolate, as created by the etsy shop foodisart.
Spin it on a record player and you can hear a slightly scratchy version of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”
Take a bite out of it and the holidays get that much sweeter.
